International Museum of Art And Science

The IMAS is a free community center and museum that celebrates the history of McAllen, Texas. Its exhibits are based on the history of the city and Northeastern Mexico. The International Museum of Art & Science in McAllen, TX, is home to a world-class 3D sphere, S.O.S., created with the help of NASA and NOAA. The sphere, which is six feet in diameter, reflects images in three dimensions. The museum was the first institution in Texas to purchase this artifact, and it has already received over 10,000 visitors since its installation six years ago.
